Schiller, Pittenger & Galvin, P.C., successfully represented a Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office forensic investigator who suffered employment retaliation due to his reporting of investigative techniques by other law enforcement officers that were improper and violated applicable guidelines. The case was brought pursuant to the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). The client remained employed throughout the litigation. Following extensive discovery and with defendant’s summary judgment motion pending, settlement was reached with the client receiving a fixed sum of $175,000.00 as well as five months of additional salary following his resignation in good standing.
