On November 27, 2018, Ted Schiller, Esq., and Perry Pittenger, Esq., were among lawyers and other professionals making presentations at the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers (NJ CAR)’s Legal Workshop.
Perry Pittenger was paired with the acting director of New Jersey’s Division of Consumer Affairs to discuss NJ CAR’s proposal to amend and modernize the Motor Vehicle Advertising Regulations and to provide an update on efforts to focus the attention of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and the Division of Consumer Affairs on unlicensed brokers.
Ted Schiller teamed with other attorneys to discuss recent efforts to enforce legal prohibitions (such as the New Jersey’s Franchise Practices Act) against two-tier pricing arrangements and automobile manufacturers’ incentive programs that violate such restrictions and how manufacturer image program deficiencies and/or factory performance requirement deficiencies impact buy/sell agreements when a manufacturer alleges a dealer is non-compliant.
Attorneys at Schiller, Pittenger & Galvin, P.C., have extensive experience in representing automobile dealers in all aspects of their businesses.
