Attorneys from Schiller, Pittenger & Galvin, P. C., took part in and donated to the 10th annual Carl V. Sicola Charity Golf Classic at the Maplewood, N. J., Country Club on May 9th, 2022.
Carl graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1962. He was a police officer in Scotch Plains for 27 years, retiring as a detective in 1995.
Carl was a devoted parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s and a supporter of St. Bartholomew’s Academy.
This event raises funds for the renovation and maintenance of the kitchen at St. Bart’s. Besides providing lunches for Academy students, various parish organizations use the kitchen, such as the Holy Name Society, the Rosary Alter Society and the Knights of Columbus.
It is also used for several annual parish events, such as the Men’s and Women’s Cornerstone Retreats, Parish Picnic, Pancake Breakfast, Spaghetti Dinner and Breakfast with Santa.
In addition, the kitchen provides nutritious meals for local families who have been displaced from their homes and receive assistance through the Home First Program.
